Meanwhile, at the Carroll Household…

Listen, I don’t know who needs to hear this, but life is hard. Marriage is hard. Jobs are hard. Kids are hard. Adulting is hard. We are a mess over here! But every once in a while, we get a little God Kiss or God Wink that reminds us that we are not alone. Here are three tips to help you cope with life being hard.

  1. Don’t look at social media and compare yourself to others. This tends to make people feel as though they can always be doing better, and you know what? You’re doing just fine right where you are. You’re not where you want to be, but you’re not where you used to be. So give yourself a much needed pat on the back!

  2. You are loved. On a serious note, if no on else loves you, I do. And you should love yourself, too. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Don’t ever sell yourself short. You are beautiful, and you have a story that can help others in the same boat. Why did you go through that bad experience? So you could sweep it under the rug and never discuss it again? NO! So you could lift others while you climb!

  3. Never give up! Seriously! Make mistakes! Pick yourself up! Do it again…BETTER than the time before. If you’re not growing, you’re dying! Remember that.
